Men Therapy Session

About Amanda Olson, MA, LMHC

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Child Mental Health Specialist, Amanda provides a safe, judgement-free space for growth. She helps you better understand and overcome the obstacles that are preventing you from having the life, or being the family, you desire.

Amanda believes that we are deeply impacted by the stories we have about ourselves. Some of these stories are helpful and lead us to great things, and some keep us captive in a world of hurt. Amanda is passionate about meeting clients wherever they may be on their journey, and will work collaboratively to identify goals for therapy at the pace that feels most comfortable to you.

If you are a parent seeking counseling for your child or teen, Amanda will work with you to develop a plan for therapy that will best address your concerns and goals. This may include family therapy sessions, individual sessions, or parent-only sessions. She works from a perspective that recognizes you as the expert on your child -- she is here to support you and your child in understanding and overcoming the challenges your family is facing.

Amanda has postgraduate training in a variety of therapeutic modalities including EMDR, play therapy, systemic and attachment theory, emotion focused therapy and narrative therapy. She is well equipped to help you overcome the challenges that have kept you from meeting your goals and living your best possible life.
